Sometimes sleeping at night is hard
Not only not being able to sleep
But sleeping and dreaming with ‘bad’ dreams
Other times, it’s like I am walking with those who have passed before me
Those marvelous people of my past life
My parents and grandparents
My beautiful and marvelous sister-of-my-heart, Dixie
Causing me to wake; to feel fragile and uncertain
Most often I wake and can’t remember my dreams
I just know I dreamed,
Not all dreams are scary, threatening, or nostalgic
They are comforting and familiar
Warm and protective
Those are hard to recall, also.
So, I have decided those dreams,
Those glowing, comforting misty dreams
Which [the feeling] tends to stay with me all through the day
Are sent to me [us] from our dead family and friends
To protect us
And those still with us on the earth
Connecting with us through our dreams.
From my world to your heart,
flowers and birds and deer – what else can you ask for?
Sun, Moon, Rain, clouds, earth…….:)
I usually don’t remember my dreams either, but I enjoyed reading your thoughts on dreams.
The older I get it seems harder and harder to remember my dreams.
I have been dreaming quite a bit lately…some good some not so good…I wonder if it is our age…or summer or what…Last night it was Chance and a bear…I woke up so scared. Hard to go back to sleep after the action packed dreams:(
Sometimes is terribly hard and the feeling persists all day. Sigh
A lovely musing Linda …thanks for sharing , I admire your ability to put those nebulous thoughts into words. Sleeping is often not easy for me either these days.
I wonder if it is an age thing, or the Earth now.
I’ve been dreaming a lot, too, lately. Some are visitations, some are adventures… I can’t remember specifics but, the feelings remain.
The feelings do remain…I wish I could remember the dream so I could understand the feeling better.
I so agree.
Such a lovely post my dear friend …
Sometimes our dreams are sent to us, I think, from those who love us.
