That Mysterious World of Bugs —- Wednesday, July13,2022

The Mason bees have found the cool little homes I’ve put out for them!

I feel absolutely EUPHORIC!!!

The Farm is Filled with Clucks and Cackles —Tuesday, July 12, 2022

We lost Fluffy Hen the other day.  She passed on.

Skitter was a mess. Screamed and hollered and screamed.

So Shannon brought me up three hens from her flock

We don’t know the variety of the hens (maybe you do)

But the type doesn’t matter.

Having friends does.

All is right in the hen house now.

Happiness — Monday, July 11, 2022

Can you and I and other people be happy in this world?

For me, the answer is yes.

Happiness is different for each and every person.

And That, my friends, is a very good thing!

I celebrate the difference that makes you, you, and the joys that bring you happiness.
For, after all, that is really all there is for each of us.

From my heart to your world,

Linda

A Different Point of View — Sunday, July 10, 2022

We had a bit of wind

It was messy and strong—

Then suddenly it stopped.

Honestly, having the wind stop was rather nice

Although, the heat arrived after the wind died down

Oh well!

We can always refresh ourselves with a wee cool down.

The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty on Friday—-Getting Use to My New Life, July 8, 2022

First off—everything was very scary!  Very!  But gradually I am getting used to everything.

I’ve been here 9 days now.

Nine very eventful days.\

I’ve met Black Beauty, TLC Cai-Cai, all my human sisters and my humans’ brothers-in-law,  and Mom’s granddaughter Tallin.  It’s been a lot!

I have also gone on several four-wheeler rides, the first time in Mom’s arms then I got my own four-wheeler seat.

Once I get off the four-wheeler I get to help Mom and Dad change the water

While they are doing that I sniff up and down the ditch bank.

(All the fast running water scares me so I stay away from it.)

On my last trip up to the new Alfalfa field I found something I didn’t know existed—

COYOTE POOP!  Oh! The! Joy! I sniffed all over it then laid down and squiggled my body all over it.  I was in Heaven.

It was at that point Mom yelled at me!

“BOO STOP IT!”

Shish. My dirty nose and face are just fine, Mom!

Back home I got WASHED!

Geez.

Anyway…I’m home. It’s nice. Mom says I’m becoming a FARM DOG!

Heartbeats from the Earth — Thursday, July 7, 2022

Walking through the corral I SAW

An Anthill shaped like a heart!

Then, later on, in a clearing on the road

Gosh!

There is nothing so beautiful and full of joy

As all the heartbeats from the Earth.

I Think It’s Going to Happen —- Wednesday, July 6, 2022

Sometimes—Sometimes —- Tuesday, July 5, 2022

Do you do this—-sometimes?

You can be within a beautiful

Golden morning

When it starts to seem like everything you need to do

Starts coming at you in short, intensive

Bursts of essential needs all compressed into

chaos requiring action on your part?

Then at that point, you try to gather–

Your thoughts into some form of comprehension, so everything can be completed All At Once, as each thing is required.

After a bout of one of those stressful moments–

I have to walk out on the land and just breathe!

Youth Doesn’t Understand — Monday, July 4, 2022

When you are young, life stretches way, way, way out there

Youth understands there are good people who often suffer

and bad people who seem ‘to get it all’

Over time, youth matures and understands that there is no explanation

How Fate is metered out.

Gradually we learn,

The future is an uncertain place—where anything might happen

Always lingering on the edge —waiting for the next moment in time to occur- that is the future.

In old age, we realize we have finally grown to understand

Everything, all things, no exceptions

Pass by quickly.

And each day is not only a gift but a blessing.

And there really isn’t anything more to ask for.

So this day of celebration—remember to celebrate your day-to-day gift of living, in this land we live in,

the land of the free!

Happy 4th of July, My friends!

As Always,

Linda
