The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty and TLC Cai-Cai on Friday—-A Dogs Purpose as I Understand It—,Friday, December 16, 2022

I’ve been here since June.

It’s taken me a while to understand what I am supposed to do

Before it was: be pregnant, then meet the boy, then be pregnant again.

Now THAT is finished and done with.

So—here is my New purpose in life—

Guard Mom and Dad and sometimes TLC Cai-Cai. (Just sometimes)

I follow Mom everywhere!

And I do mean EVERYWHERE!

I growl at the door when something or someone strange is there

I’ve learned to help put up the chickens — only when Mom tells me too

And I have enjoyed immensely going on walks with Mom.

I have grown to the place I can go outside by myself for a short while.  Not long I get worried about Mom and the house, and my soft beds.

But Still.

I haven’t learned how to sit on a lap and relax yet, but I do like to ride on Mom’s lap in the truck and look outside.

Oh! Yes! And I love going in my little blue box for rides on the four-wheeler.

Mom says I am getting better and better about learning how to

Just be a dog!

YAY! ME!

Come Fly, Upon the Golden Currents of the Sky — Thursday, December 16, 2021

The earth is full of amazing energy

it is everywhere,

sometimes you can see it golden

and flowing over the land,

in the sky,

around all things

The world is alive

And there for us to see

if we will just look.

Our World Woke-Up in a Cloud — Wednesday, December 16, 2020

Tuesday Morning, we woke up in a lovely cloud

The air dense and thick; all sounds muffled even unto silence

Creating a twilight land

I enjoyed walking about in the beguiling silent-fog filled light

What a soothing way to start the day.

Sometimes Time Feels Like a Loose and Flying Feather —- Monday, December 16, 2019

The school bus goes by our place long before the sun is really up.

Watching time move throughout the day is truly a glory.  The first tinge of sunlight appears long after the world has woken and headed to work, or school, or shopping, or….

Quickly, ever so rapidly the daylight brightens,

then with high speed starts

the swift descent into night

Not long now before the shortest day of the year.  Gratefully we will move forward into flourishing daylight and raw, impressive cold temperatures, which will billow into

Whispering, creaking ice…but at least the days will grow longer.

And THAT will be a very good thing.

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

I Love Watching Shadows—-Sunday, December 16, 2018

From my office window upstairs I can see the shadows as they change, develop, and disappear daily

They grow long, shrink short,

Compress together until many shadows become one

The sunlight moves upon the land making all the shadows

Ripple and move like silk

Until the land is deep into the dark

But the full sun also forms magic shadows

Shadows all brought to us by that exquisite sky

From my world to your heart,

Linda

NO EXCUSE—Tuesday, December 16, 2014

There is absolutely no Excuse for dumping out an animal!  EVER!!!!

I DO NOT care who the person is that does it or the reason why…if I could have caught them in the act THEY would have caught the bad side of my tongue AND I would have turned THEM into the sheriff’s office!

Grrrr and sigh all at once!

Cat-2

Someone dumped off this very beautiful older male cat.  I have been trying to capture him for several weeks now…finally last evening I did!!

He is AT LEAST 6 or more years old, has been declawed (how did they expect him to catch his food and eat?!?!??!?), and is so thin I can feel all his bones, also he is extremely shy.

Cat-1

He has been running wild now for some time so I’m having a hard time calming him down. But this morning after a huge cat fight with me (if he could have hurt me he would have) he and I sat for an hour and just relaxed…almost, almost I felt a faint purr starting to develop, then the phone rang!  All bets were off at that point!

My oldest daughter knows someone who wants a house cat and is willing to take this ‘fixed’ and declawed kitty to live in the house with them.  (Cross your fingers, toes, arms and legs that she takes him!)

On top of this cat being dumped off whomever the jewels of humanity were also dumped off a young female at the same time whom must have had kittens.  I suppose they kept the kittens and got rid of her!  GRRRRR   Anyway, I now have to catch an in-heat female.  She is tame enough I can pet her, but she skitters away when I try to pick her up.  (Magic thoughts that I can get her caught and to the vet SOON!)  I also hope to have a family for her, so help in that way would be good also.  I’m not sure if she is declawed or not, she certainly hasn’t been fixed so I doubt if she has been declawed.

What a nightmare for the cats!  A pox on whoever dumps animals!!
