We are using the woodstove for heat now. It feels warm and rich and luxurious
I thought I would bring you up-to-date on our building project
The doors are up
The roof is on and most of the sides are up
We made it clear to this point before the cold insane wind came—complete with rain and huge sloppy snowflakes
Today is cold, but we will start again. It’s almost done on the outside. Then we can start work on the inside.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
A autumn storm played along the plateau yesterday. Although the air was still warm enough to go without jackets.
The clouds covered the San Juan Mountain Range…the rugged peaks poking through the clouds show heavy snow in the tendrils of mist
Although our mornings comes later every day; the red sky is a beautiful promise of moisture yet to come.
And just for a spell, just before the clouds gathered and shoved their way toward us…the sky was just down right beautiful.
The nights come earlier and earlier now.
Still it isn’t January…of which I give great Thanks!
We saw a sundog the other day…three days from the sighting of a sundog colder weather is coming. Friday we should have colder weather…yep. I looked on the weather channel and Friday we will be in the 60’s.
For my fence today I’m showing you Mr. Davis’ holding corral. He uses this when he loads out the cows.
It’s all metal and hand welded. I think its really pretty neat!
Well, head on over to Teresa’s place and link up your fences or gates. If you don’t want to do that check out what the others have linked!
