Yesterday was a very nice day…I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends from here and around the whole globe. I thank each one of you very much!

Another gift today — last evening, as the sun was starting to set, the clouds broke up; allowing clear skies to appear! Sunshine always gives a huge lift to the spirit!

Always!

Elaine from Black Forest, Colorado, sent me this beautiful frozen photo of the frost and fog and hoar frost not far from her home. It looks like the photo is in black and white, but in reality it was just that cold.

Then Linda, from very large ranch in Alberta, Canada, sent me this stunning sunrise.

The world is just a beautiful place!

Small Break and a Post Full of Rainbows–Tuesday, September 30, 2014

For a small amount of time the clouds parted and blue sky appeared. It was lovely! The dogs and cats and I danced a jig on the very wet lawn. It was delightful!

Then the rains came back. Heavy wet rains complete with thunder.

We are soaked…drowned…extremely wet.

But John North sent me a youtube song about Rainbows and perfect song to go with this wet spell we are having–

A perfectly wonderful wish for a cold wet day.

Then Linda from Alexandria, Louisiana sent this wonderful rainbow

Rene`, who lives in Paonia, Colorado (just about an hour’s drive from here) sent me these two stunning rainbows—spanning the mountains where she lives.

The snow left and the cold arrived! I will take it! For with the cold is SUNSHINE!

As I was cleaning my kitchen I happened to see a sunbeam

I had a little prism sitting on the window ledge when a sunbeam filled it with light…

I enjoyed seeing this bright little spot of happiness so much I wanted to share it with you!

The County Dump

So far we have over an inch of rain and it is still raining. The weather people say it is supposed to turn to snow today around 2 o’clock in the afternoon. I haven’t been taking any 4 o’clock photos since there really isn’t anything to see but rain and fog.

For a really short while yesterday the clouds broke and sun came out. A great cry of joy went up from the cows and the chickens and the cats and the dogs. Everyone was in a frolicking kind of mood.

Terry and I quickly grabbed all our trash and headed out to the dump. We only make the run if we absolutely have too. We were at the absolutely spot…if we didn’t go then I was going to have to go by more trash barrels, which I didn’t want to do as we really do have enough of trash barrels now.

There really isn’t anything really interesting at the dump, but we did get to see the rubber grinder at work grinding up all the tires. I don’t know what happens to that huge pile of ground up rubber but I’m sure they have figured out some way to recycle it or they wouldn’t be doing it.

As we were there the fog settled back down. After we got home the rain started again. No complains on the moisture. It is just very odd this type of rain this time of year.

Three more days until February….I’m into the count down! 🙂
