About Dayphoto

My name is Linda Brown. I live on a farm on the western slope of Colorado, in the high mountain desert. I’ve lived here all my life, hailing back four generations on my father’s side. Today I blog about our farm, the everyday activities that keep the farm going. I also write about my thoughts and dreams and goals. On Friday’s I always write about TLC Cai-Cai. Our sweet kitty who helps keep the farm safe. And Boo Berry Betty, a breeder dog learning to be a Farm Dog! The lovely thing about blogging it opens the world up for all of us to reach out and meet people from many different cultures and different ways of life. You can find me every day (but Saturday) at https://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com/ Your Friend on a Western Colorado Farm, Linda Brown

The Weather People are Saying: ‘SNOW Coming to Us Starting Monday’!, Sunday, March 19, 2023

They say—

That more of this is coming in

O! Please!

Let all of this

Be just a memory—-

Until next year—

in November through February.

Please let genuine Spring Begin!

Storm clouds forming!  Sigh!

The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty and TLC Cai-Cai on Friday—-Back on the Land AGAIN!, Friday, March 17, 2023

TLC and I went outside to

PLAY!!!

But—

Dad was backing up that big

Scary

Machine.

(This was taken two weeks ago)

So, we ran back inside!

Mom told us Dad was going out to see if the rain made it

Too muddy to get back out

On the Land.

Guess what?!

Dad is BACK ON THE LAND!

A Wee Break in the Storms — Wednesday, March 15, 2023

We are in-between storms.

The sunshine is crisp and delightful

The mud is starting to firm.

But——–another round of storms is heading in here again.

Sigh,

From my heart to your world,

Linda

It Has Been a Winter of Wood —- Tuesday, March 14, 2023

No, not just firewood

But pruning of the orchard

Pruning of the dangerous limbs off the old trees by the house

And weed trees growing where they should NOT be!

Wood!  We’ve been crazy for wood this year.  🙂

Then the Rains Came — Monday, March 13, 2023

The lawns are showing sprigs of green—the alfalfa is getting two leaf sprouts, and the weeds are thriving!

Although cold, it is starting to feel more and more like Spring.
