At Noon or Just a Tad Later —- Tuesday, January 28, 2025

The air is at its warmest from noon until three in the afternoon. At that point, I like to ‘do’ things outside.

Sun and warmth—a very good thing!

May Joy be with you and remain with you every day!

Ah, Wind—The Bringer of Winter Storms and Cold Fronts, Thursday, January 23, 2025

It’s been cold here—just like it has been cold where you are.

Wintertime wind is the worst (to me) part of winter.  It seems to gallop through the trees causing the leaves still attached to rattle and shake—reminding us of summer past.

Brrr—it’s cold…But by tomorrow we are to warm up!

I am ready!

Now That I Am an Advanced Age — Wednesday, January 22, 2025

Now that I am an advanced age I (too) walk in the steps of those marvelous people who went before me:  Chronic, persistent feelings of —is that defeat? Depression? an underlying sadness?

So to overcome those feelings I go outside—looking for the gift that says: You are here, alive and blessed with the joy and wonder of this world.

I always come back inside, feeling warm, happy, and blessed.

Off We Go — Tuesday, January 21, 2025

It’s time— we needed to go get another load of firewood–

It’s been cold here.  Wind, skiffs of snow—Brrrrrrrrrrr.

The wood is the perfect heat for a nasty winter day!

My Momma —-Monday, January 20, 2025

My Momma loved children—she would have been an excellent elementary teacher.  Instead, she worked as a Secretary for the elementary principal.  Which was just as good.

There she is with her Daddy, three uncles, and her great-grandpa.

Anyway, one day (after she retired) she told me, in a sorrowful voice, that sometimes children’s lives are so broken that there really isn’t a way to help them.

I think of that often.  Sometimes I run into those adults who have been those very broken children.  I think you have also.

Now (as adults) they either become overly protective or abandon those they are responsible for.

Anyway, after years of farm living and farm work and being part of farm life–

I can say with strong conviction—if we treat all our animals right—they can take care of their little ones in a most loving manner.

Yep—we all strive to not break any pieces, ever.

Remember God(s) is Here—Sunday, January 19, 2025

Before I get ‘hate’ comments (by the way I will just spam them) let me explain:

If I were standing there facing you, I could/would place my hand on your heart and say to you, “God Lives Here!”

God(s) live in our hearts, filling our minds and souls with wonder.  Your God, My God,

We all can love and feel God- we just (each of us) see and understand things differently.

And That, my friends, is a very good thing.

“Every day, I ask God to show me how I can do things that will uplift people and glory him.  I always pray that I’ll have enough to share and enough to spare. God, please direct and lead me.”  Dolly Parton
