The Adventures of Mindy on Friday— Freddy the Fox and Boomer, Friday, May,22, 2020

I was out hunting early this morning with Mom…well, Mom wasn’t hunting,

Mom was checking the end of the field to see what rows of water didn’t come through. Dad was out IN the field checking to see how wet everything was—

when FREDDY FOX RAN BY…AS FAST HAS HE COULD GO!

Then Freddy stopped…looked at me…I about passed out.

He barked…Fox barks are really different — go here to hear one — which scared me worse.

Then I listened, he was barking for Boomer.

“MEOWWWWWWWWWWWW!”  I screamed.  “Boomer isn’t outside, Boomer is sleeping in the kitchen on his big soft fluffy bed.”

“Get Boomer and have him come out…it’s time we had an adventure.” Freddy said to me.

“Not right now, Freddy.  Boomer has been sick and is resting.  Maybe when he feels better.” I replied.

VARRRROOOOOOOOOOOM

Freddy and I heard one of the four-wheelers startup.

Then we heard the other four-wheeler startup.

“GOTTA RUN! See Ya Around.” Freddy yelled as he took off toward the upper end.

That works for me I murmured, turning around

I flopped down and gave myself a very nice dust bath.

Then I jumped up and looked around.

I’m sure glad that fox is gone!

Off I went heading into the field to see about my breakfast!

Whisperings on the Land—- Sunday, December, 22, 209

I love to take walks….walking here and there; day and night

There is always something interesting to see, like this perfect circle of ice

Or the geese wing swooshing over-head

We finally made it to these two days and nights, when the day grows the shortest it possibly can, stop to regroup, then head back toward warmer days and shorter nights.

So for a short little while, the mornings will come later

And the nighttimes earlier…

That’s okay.

Time is etched into each and every day, rippling and eddying in a hypnotic current we can all enjoy if we just take a walk.

Last Car Club Meeting of the Year—-Monday, October 22, 2018

Sunday was the last Car Club meeting for the year

Terry and I were late joiners to this delightful fun group of people.

Everyone is so positive; all the talk is about cars or trucks or motors or shows.

Everyone is happy for YOU.  It doesn’t matter what kind of car you have, just that you like old cars and want to drive them and be with like-minded people.

The last meeting even had a wee poker run, of which we drew a very poor hand, but had a great time doing it.

Making Headway—-Thursday, February, 22, 2018

Whew! Sigh! Struggle! Stress Out…I guess I’m making headway.

I think!

So far I’m not having trouble with Windows 10 —-Knock on wood—-, but what I don’t like, and what I am having trouble with, is getting my blog and Face Book page to look right on the screen.

The blog page is small….leaving lots of black space around the blog post.  The same for the FaceBook page.

I guess it will all start to work out over-time —and my confidence level increases.

Your friend in a very puzzling situation,
