Hold on to this Single Thought—Sunday, December 22, 2024

Even though one might be having a bad day, remember this thought: It’s only a bad day, not a bad life.

One sleep and everything is different the next day!

Wrapped in Energy—-Wednesday, November 8, 2017

Although, it’s a ton of work, Terry decided he wanted to fill one of the Butler bins with the remaining corn in the field

So yesterday in the warmth of the afternoon we hauled out the auger

Set it up

Then while he combines I will fill the bin; saving corn to sell at a later date.

BUT WAIT!!!!!!

Our neighbor a mile away, who is a big rancher in the area drove down our lane just as we were about to start filling the bin!

“I sure could use some corn, if you have any extra,” he explained

“We have extra”, Terry replied.

So as luck and the blessings of Heaven everything works out for the both of us.  Our corn has a new home and the rancher’s cows have more feed!

Life is good!

A Perfect Day–Tuesday, May 12, 2015

3Yesterday was just a perfect day!  The renters are moved in and seem very excited about everything.  We stopped by to welcome them, there were huge smiles all around!

BBI got my house dusted and vacuumed, and the floors swept!  You don’t know what a huge thing that was.  I was keeping everything cleaned and pick-up, I just have not had time to do a good job of dusting…YAY!

Aren’t these little orange banded furry bumble bees just the cutest things.

Then I got the lawn mowed, the hedge trimmed, and all but one flower bed weeded.  I even got some of my house started plants in the ground.  I am doing a happy, happy dance, that is for certain and for sure. Today I should finish all that up and then be in maintenance mode for the rest of the summer.  (That’s the plan anyway. 🙂 )

There is such joy in finally being caught up!

Day's-End-!

The corn is looking ‘okay’ in the ground, now that rain and cold temperatures are (hopefully) in the future sometime, and the sun is shinning, The sun and warmer temperature should help the soil to warm up.  Then the corn SHOULD start to sprout and send up little green leaves.  There will be another cheer of great joy as soon as we see the corn rowing out!

Thank you each and everyone of you, for stopping by and for leaving your comments. I am trying very much to answer all my comments in the comment section so everyone will have the knowledge of questions and the answers.  I find that fun things are occurring in the comment section, each of you are getting to know each other.  How nice is that!?

Off now to work on that last bed and to finish putting the Cannas in the ground. Once that is done I can stand back and say….good!

Good Fences, Spring Farm Work, and Rain—Thursday, March 19, 2015

It rained off and on yesterday and then some into the night. The sun is out, our air is fresh and lovely, my lawn(s) are starting to green up, and I have lots of plants popping up in the flower beds!  Life is good!

Plowing-1Terry plowed until it got too wet.  So far there isn’t enough rain to cause our clay type of soil of harden into bricks.

Years ago we had a brick and tile making company that used our clay soil to make bricks.  Today those bricks are much sought after as a collector item.  That’s our type of soil…also our worry about rain.

Anyway, so far so good.

Theresa from The Run*A*Round Ranch Report always hosts Thursday Good Fences and Gates.  Sometimes I have neat fence, gate or gate opener to add to the fun postings on Thursday.  Today I have one—–

Scratching-PostThis is a scratching post on our place.  Terry put it up for the cows…a nice back scratch is always good!

Head on over to Teresa’s place and see her photos, then visit some of the other participants for a look at their cool fences and gates.

I hope each of you have a really nice day!
