OH! OH!!!! WHAT IS THIS!!! —– Tuesday, May 20, 2025

WOW!  Gosh!  How neat this is!  I don’t have to search…it’s right here!  A WHOLE ROW of seeds, and PEANUTS!

Oh! the Joy!  Joy! Joy!

(Yes, I feed the wild ones.  Everyone likes treats now and then.  🙂  )

And the Night Closes In —Monday, May 20, 2024

As the night started closing in, the murmuring of the water and the flashing/setting sunlight illuminated the beauty all around.

Then home again we rode—the earth seeping darkness; lifting toward the sky and the sky blazing with glorious color.

The Adventures of TLC Cai-Cai on Friday—-Farm Adventures, May 20, 2022

Just so you know—I wake up BEFORE Mom and Dad!  I mean BEFORE!  Like when the sky is still dark, but there is a tiny rim of light over there in the East and two BIG stars, one high and one low shining brightly.

Mom always gets up at 5:00 a.m., but I get up Before MOM!

Until Mom and Dad get up, I do things to help them get up: I run across the bed really, really fast. Then jump off.  I walk as heavy as I can up Dad, cross over the top of his head and the pillow, onto Mom’s head and pillow, and walk down her as hard as I can.

Then when Mom turns over on her back I walk up (HEAVY) and stop right on her stomach and stand hard and stare at her.  When she opens her eyes and starts to touch me I lay down fast and put my face right into her face and PURR!

Then Mom and I have a long, long, long pet/purr time before I get tired and jump up, push-off,  and jump down.

If Mom doesn’t get up right then I do everything I can to get her up—I sit in the window and try to climb the screen to get at the Swallows building nests onto the house, (That ALWAYS gets me yelled at).

When I get tired of all those things, and I want Mom to get up and get me some yummy food from a can, I CLAW the drapes.

Yep.

Mom flings herself out of bed and yells at me to STOP; I run off fast into the kitchen where I wait.

Yep! Five O’clock! Time for mom to rise and shine!

The Day has Started!

Smirk, Smirk!

After the Storm Tossed Sky — Thursday, May 20, 2021

We received no rain.

Clouds within clouds 🙂

Although, the sky was full of rain clouds and rain.

The rain that fell dried up before it could reach us.

We are that dry here.

Sometimes it happens that way.

The wind brings in a huge bundle of clouds,

Full of moisture.

You can even see the

rain chutes making their way to the earth.

Possibly even feel a drop or two on your skin

But that is all.

Still, the sky, the very air we breathe, even the plants on the earth

Feel refreshed in the dawn-touched world.

The Glimmer of Healing —- Wednesday, May 20, 2020

Gradually, Boomer is healing.  The very strong medication seems to have worked, although, he is still exhibiting some signs of breathing trouble

Now his old bones are refusing to move comfortably—I have something for arthritis, which I hope works

I watch him carefully all the time —trying not to let despair creep into me like an early morning mist

Wait! I said to myself….What is there, right by the tire!?!?

A HEART ROCK!

I picked it up and took it home. When I washed it off I saw that the heart-rock was a tad worse for wear…a series of chips on the corner

A big chip on the other side

Still a gift of love from the Universe to me.

Peace and love and hope and concern are oftentimes fraught with worry,

Boomer and I will take everything one day at a time.

Thank you so much, once more, for all your thoughts, concerns, and prayers.  My hope is Boomer Beaglie Brown will get back to his joyful little self; I will do whatever I can to help him get there.

That and pray.

Be Open to Your God —- Monday, May 20, 2019

Every minute, every moment, every second of your life

Be open to your God,

If you are open your God will be there.

You will always receive an answer

Even answers you don’t want to receive

But if you never ask for an answer

or look to see if your God is with you

Then the God(s) cannot answer you, lead you, or be there for you

But, O! My!

When your God(s) answers

It is so wonderful and terrifying

(Rainbow a gift from my daughter Shannon to me, and now to you)

It is like having wings lift you up into Glory!

From my world to your heart,

Linda

Ordinary Dreams — Sunday, May 20, 2018

Ordinary dreams are never clear–they are jumbles of this and that

As we sleep we walk in small places where the old gods used to roam

In that time long-before Christ came.

Those ancient gods of hills and woods and streams

We wander here and there in the dusk of our daily happenings, free from rituals, cities crowded with men

Where sometimes we walk thoughtlessly, as if we are kings, or fairies, or even riding on stars moving silently in the Universe

Sometimes we meet scary unknown things, which zip out of the air of our thoughts, rushing toward us like a demon felt only within the dark

Jerking awake, breathing like we are riding the wind—to realize we just dream.

Turning over…flipping the pillow to the cool side, we once more fall asleep and dream

A thoughtlessly as wee babe in a mother’s arms.

I hope your Sunday is a very good one!
