Watching Watching Always Watching— Wednesday, November 20, 2024

I watched a rainstorm play along the Uncompahgre Plateau, dipping down into the Roubidoux Canyon.

We had sprinkles here.

But more than sprinkles I saw this gift

As the golden hour appeared so did a rainbow shining amoung the dark clouds and the leaves being lifted and flown through the air

Delightful!

Extraordinary—Thursday, November 14, 2024

Yes, we still haul, cut, split, and burn firewood.  We keep thinking this is the winter we stop.

But not this year.  We love the extraordinary warmth that wood brings to our whole house. It feels delicious on nasty cold windy days.

Yep…still doing wood.

We Are the Center — Wednesday, November 13, 2024

I know that sounds egotistical —

But I don’t mean it that way— what I am trying to say

(Yes, I know I need to paint 🙂  )

We are the center of ourselves.  Our thoughts.  Our actions. All come together within us.

Watching our thoughts…teaches us to watch our actions.  Therefore, we own ourselves.

And always, always we are never alone, for God(s) is always there to help us grow, to protect us, (oftentimes from ourselves), and to lift us up with love.

From my heart to your heart,

(I used some photos from my archives—I felt they fit what I was trying to say 🙂 )

I Own Joy—- Tuesday, November 12, 2024

Never use the power of memory to generate sorrow

Never see yourself as pathetic

Keep that feeling of peace and joy forever

Recognize within each and every moment of each and every day

There are moments or pure joy.

Of which we all own!

From my heart to your heart, My Friends!

And Then in The North —- Monday, November 11, 2024

If you go to the front of our house—the part facing the country road

Grand Mesa—all covered in snow this time of year (YAY!  Water for Cedaredge and Grand Junction area)

But if you are really lucky (as I think I am)

You can see those magnificent Adobie Badlands/Dobies.  All lit up by the sun.
(Some of these photos are from my archives)

Canyons, Plateaus, Buttes, and mesas — oh! My!

Cling to the Edge of Cloud with Me — Thursday, November 10, 2024

I looked up and saw—WOW!  (A rainbow cloud can occur because of something called cloud iridescence. It usually happens in altocumulus, cirrocumulus, lenticular, and cirrus clouds. Iridescent clouds happen because of diffraction – a phenomenon that occurs when small water droplets or small ice crystals scatter the sun’s light.)

A wee break in the storms brought us this!!  Marvelous I say!  Just Marvelous!

Lift up your eyes and be glad!! Oh! Yes! Please do!

From my world to your heart,

Linda
