Mom says we will get back to all about ‘Running a Farm’ next week, but for right now, there is REJOICING in the House and on the Farm.
It started raining and
it hasn’t really stopped.
As for me—
I’m not sure about this rain stuff.

It’s been raining here,
Little showers of delight
Our air, ground, and souls cooling way down
Making a person think it might be Autumn
It makes me feel like Fall
Time racing forward
That summer will be over (too) fast.
Moments racing ahead…
The rain is nice, it’s actually making puddles
Still…over there — just beyond
Is Fall…
Autumn
The cool down, just before
Ah, well…until then
Our days go Quietly forward…

The wind and dirt arrived again
Making it hard to move around on the farm; littering the air and our mouths and noses and eyes
Along with the wind came RAIN Clouds
Lovely, soft, earth quenching, leaf cleaning, air freshening Exhilarating RAIN!
We’ve had a few days of off and on rain now!
It is indeed a beautiful, intoxicating, cheerful, enlivening THRILL!

Sunday night a huge wind/potential rainstorm came rolling into our area.
Monday the sky was heavy with low clouds and the air sharp enough to make a person think of January.
The weather people said rain, but (right here) we didn’t see any.
Just smothering dust.
Hopefully, we will start to warm up again. I’m ready for the winter and it’s chill to just be a memory.
🙂

I’ve been wanting to show you this for sometime
But Friday’s with Boomer came first, then the start of the water on the farm came second
But one-day last week we had rain
Which is an essential part of spring, bringing vitality to all growing things (and mud, but that is a very different story than this one)
What I wanted to share with you is this!
As the sunset, the mist created by the rain was the color of rose
I have never been blessed to see such a sight in all my life
The whole hazy effect was very enchanting. Even when the rainy mist turned into shadows.
What a joy! What a blessing!
From my world to your heart,
Linda
While out-and-about, looking at the sky through the tiny lens on my camera
The two hens and Beaglie following me
Mindy choosing to NOT get in the way of two hens (they like to chase her–making her a wee bit unnerved.)
I happened upon a lovely gift of heart…waiting there in the shadows of other rocks
A marvelous gift all dressed in gray!
From my world to your heart,
Linda

The heavens sang to us yesterday afternoon
Washing the air clean, leaving the soil warm and damp, the grass shining, the corn leaves radiating their rich smell of corn pollen all through the air.
This morning the heavy clouds started rolling back; the sun claiming the sky.
Everything feels rich, yet languid, draped in lush shadows and pleasant fragrances.
Life is good.
