WetMore flash flooding is predicted for our part of Western Colorado.

Although, we are NOT getting what the Boulder, Colorado Springs, Longmont, and Greeley area are having. (They are in the Corridor of our State)  Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone in those flood damaged areas. 😦

slimeOur rain puddles are starting to grow slime

Moss

Even the trees are showing signs of moss

Wet-3

We are so wet it is hard to find a spot to walk without sinking up to your ankles.

Wet-2

An old-timer called this the ‘100-year rain’.

Storm

This morning we had some scattering of blue skies

Arriving

Just seeing the blue made me happy.

More

Last night there was also a break in the clouds

Black-Canyon

The sunlight was outstanding! It caught the rim of Black Canyon.  You can’t see the other mountains behind Black Canyon because the clouds have them covered.

Rainbow-5

The sunlight also produced a rainbow

Rainbow-corn

Rainbows always make me think of hope.

Corn-and-rainbow

According to the weather channel today is the last horrible day of torrential rain, then the slow moving storm will move on…which means it will move toward the east possibly hitting Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and/or parts of Texas, it just depends on the the jet stream.  I sure hope you don’t get the floods, but lots of really nice ground soaking rain. 🙂

Rain-5I hope your Sunday turns out well my friends,

This is what we had yesterday!

Blue-Sky

Lovely!  I enjoyed every minute of it….I worked in the yard for four hours yesterday, it was so nice.  47*.

Terry finished up the ground work on the fields he is going to plant…next he will level the fields, then fertilize, mark out  and we are ready for to turn on the water.  They are still saying they will turn it on April 1st.  It takes a full week for the water to get to us, but when it does get here we will be ready! 🙂

The temps dropped to 15* last night, a huge warm-up from the night before!  It is predicted to get to 62* today with a low of 23*.

Unless something changes (where the weather is concerned it just might) we are on our way to settled weather!

Blue Skies How I Love Blue Skies

We have blue skies! Beautiful, beautiful blue skies!

We are a river of melted snow

By the hour we are turning from snow until water

“How do I get across?”, wonders Sammy-Sam

Humm—now what?

I guess I will try…stay on the snow, no wait, maybe the mud

Forget it, I’m heading into the shed.

Terry is digging little ditches to help the water run into the dry canal.

I’m not complaining….spring is here!  I saw another Red-breasted Robin and two Western Meadow Larks.  The geese have been gone now for days.

I’m singing a happy song!
