The Achingly Beautiful Melody of Life —- Thursday, October 8, 2020

The sounds of life

There in the sky, and the deep scurrying sounds of fear rushing through those who live on the land

The sounds rustling in the stillness, if you aren’t listening you can’t hear them

They are there as silent as thought,

From my world to your heart,

Don’t make a sound

In the middle of the Back Forty and

And all the green growing things.

At the top of the day!

The silent stalkers hunting

In Small Shafts of Moonlight and Dazzling Sunlight—Tuesday, October 22, 2019

Here we are on a wee tour of the farm and how things are now

The moon is dazzling peeking here and there through the corn

We have deer hanging out in the corn

We have new ‘saved’ goats on the farm.  They are not young, very old, complete with arthritis. They are so sweet.

The mornings are dazzling

The Quails are so much fun to watch, and we have lots and lots of them.

The sunrises have been lovely

We have a family of raccoons

And coyotes (Sigh)

The leaves are falling, but they didn’t turn colors this year

We still have water in the canal.  It will leave on the first of November. I still enjoy hearing the rush of the water passing through our place.

AND I got a photo of a wasp in flight!  How cool that is! 🙂

That Wonderful Light and Hollow Feeling—Monday, August 14, 2017

Way back in June I sat about making a couple of Hummingbird swings….

I hung them and waited…and waited…and waited…then last night

As the sun faded quickly from the heavens, and the night air scented with the smell of Four O’clocks and sweet Lilies

Several of those tiny flying jewels tried out the swing!!!

I WAS DELIGHTED!  (to say the least 🙂 )

Then while I watched and waited, for that perfect photo, of a hummingbird on a swing…a little wasp decided to see what all the fuss was about.  I had to laugh-out-loud as the joy that little swing has brought, not just to me, but those creatures living in our yard!
