A Spring Bright Windy Day — Thursday, May 26, 2022

“Good Morning, Girls”, Mom said. “Ready to outside and have some fun?”

“Hush your worry, Skitter Bug” Fluffy clucked as they headed out of the hen house.

“If you keep thinking of things that are going to get you, you will never get to see the world.”

“Look Skitter Mom has scattered Yummy treats right here!”

“WOW! Even bugs! Fluffy!!  BUGS!”

“OH! MY GOSH! RUN, FLUFFY RUN!”

“No, Skitter, come this way…more bugs, more places to scratch”

“I’ll stand watch, you’ll be safe.”

“This is different, sorta hard, butttttt YUM a cricket!!”

“This wind is something else—ruffled butt feathers!”

“Just turn sideways…your feathers will stay down, Skitter.”

“OHHHHHHHHHHH, this is heaven.  SKITTER leave the hen house and come play!”

When the Wind Tears the Earth to Shreds —- Wednesday, May 26, 2021

The is an UpSide to the wind—Sorta

It helps the sap rise up out of the roots of the trees, so the leaves can gather light and we can have shade

It can bring in a storm…it can, not always, but it could

But the biggest thing it does (on human terms)

is it keeps the bugs

At bay. 🙂

In the Stillness of the Soil is Growth —- Tuesday, May 26, 2020

The corn is growing might nicely

Terry just finished cultivating all the many, many rows, giving the little baby corn a fighting chance.

One more field to plant—more than likely alfalfa or grass or a mix of the two.

Two Beautiful Days — Sunday, May 26, 2019

Yesterday and today are just wonderful!

So beautiful in fact your heart almost aches

The weather people are telling us it won’t last

Another winter storm is coming in tonight with temperatures dropping twenty degrees below normal

There will snow in the high country again…inches to feet of more snow, where the snow already lays thick

But for a little, the rest of this day, of utter loveliness, we will go forth and enjoy every minute

Before that encroaching winter storm descends.

Bubbles of Joy—-Thursday, May 26, 2016

Loch-Colorado-Farm-MonsterThe Monster at the Loch of Colorado Farm. He resides within the Standing Stones Garden.

1Everything comes at a price, they say.  Everything.

3But I wonder:  Does it have to be in pain, and sweat and tears!

Can’t the price be hope, and joy, and the belief in well-being?

4

Can’t it come through that most profound emotion called Love?

5

Why NOT approach everything in the belief that there is a stream of well-being in the world and be part of that stream?

I love the coolness and the sudden sense of relief the second I arrive in that place of “letting go”.   The letting go place is soothing, calming, and (to be very honest) Real!

Changing-Water-1Even if you don’t understand what I’m trying to say…that’s okay also.

CultivatingI much prefer this looking at the world in rose colored glasses, than any other kind.

Cooling-offMy wish for you today is find those things that raise your heart in happiness!

From my heart to your world,

Linda

For the Week—Tuesday, May 26, 2015

Our Craig, Colorado kids all went home…without two of the grandchildren 🙂   Blade wanted to stay with Aunt Shannon (part-time) and with his cousin on his Dad’s side some/most of the time.  Blade and Zack are very close cousins and friends so spending time with each other is very special to both of them.  Blade will also spend time with us…at 13 you just have so much you want to do, with so little time to do it.

UpTally is staying with us.  I will call a little friend she liked to play with sometime today and arrange a play date, but mostly it will be Tally, Grandpa and I.  We will got see Aunt Shannon and Jason and the dogs and cats, but that will be just to visit.

SwingLinkin and her best friend will be spending the whole week at Craig, no brother or sister to interrupt their very serious best-friend-forever time.  Then next weekend we will switch and Linkin will spend the week with us. (I’m sure Elly will be here and Linkin will be at her house off and on.)

RoundOn our way to get some guinea pig food (Blade’s pig is staying with us also 🙂 ) Grandpa and Tally wanted to play at one of the parks on the way home.    There was a little girl already playing there, which added to the fun.  (Who do you think had the most fun?

1 Tally ?

2. New Friend ?

3 Grandpa ?

If you guess Grandpa…YOU WIN!!!  Just look at that smiles— they say it all.

I’m so far behind on commenting, but please know that I am reading them. I am also reading your blogs.  I am also a tad stretched at the moment, but I hope to get into a routine soon.
